Life is a roller coaster! Spend an afternoon at Valleyfair, a 125-acre amusement park in Shakopee, with 75 rides and attractions including 8 roller coasters. Valleyfair also has a water park called Soak City where you can ride on the tallest side-by-side waterslides in the country.

 

Canterbury Park offers the excitement of live horse racing and a year round card casino. The track itself features a one-mile oval dirt track and a seven-furlong turf course. Indoor & Outdoor seating is available, along with multiple food stands and bars throughout the building.

 

You can also step back in time at The Landing. This 88-acre living history museum depicts life along the MN River in the 1800’s, with authentic 19th-century buildings, living history demonstrations, and a scenic river trail and overlook.

 

In the fall, check out The Minnesota Renaissance Festival. This Renaissance fair is an interactive outdoor event which focuses on recreating the look and feel of a fictional 16th Century "England-like" fantasy kingdom.​
